Lubitel -c1949-1956.
(Lubitel = Amateur). TLR, 12 exposures, 6x6cm on 120 film. Successor to
Komsomoletz, copy of Voigtlander Brillant. f4.5/75mm T-22 lens. Variable-speed
shutter, 10-200. Very common; more than a million made. Cyrillic or Latin
lettering.
Lubitel 2 - c1955-1980. Improved version of Lubitel.
Same bakelite body, but shutter has synchronization and self-timer. Cyrillic or
Latin lettering. Also sold as Kalimar 100.
Lubitel 166 - c1976-86.
(Factory name now Lomo). Restyled Lubitel. Thermoplastic body, more
modern in appearance. f4.5/75mm T-22 lens externally gear-coupled to viewing
lens. Shutter B, 15-250. Hot shoe. Variants: Cyrillic, Latin, Moscow Olympics.
Lubitel 166B - c1980. Similar to 166, but with
self-timer.
Lubitel-166 Universal - c1983-93. Similar to 166,
but dual format capability. Reducing mask allows 4.5x6cm exposures.
